PROGRAM OF EVENTS IN WROTHAM HIGH STREET
1:00
A terrible blight has come upon the fair land of Wrotham. Everyone in that land is in great distress since a fiery beast has taken residence in the Cricket Field and is gobbling up all the little children who dare to venture there. Fear not because Wrotham has a champion knight, St George, who is pledged to defend us and do battle with the fearsome creature. A terrible battle ensues when the dragon prowls Wrotham High Street and is confronted with St George! Will Wrotham be safe in time for the arrival of Santa Clause?
1:30
Santa Clause arrives by sledge, accompanied by the The 17th Tonbridge Scout & Guide Band, the best youth bugle and fife band in the country. They travel up and down the High Street before Santa stops at his Grotto next to St Georges Church; having relocated there from Lapland sixteen years ago.
2:00
Children can come to the Grotto during the afternoon and meet Santa Clause and discuss their Christmas wishes. They will also receive a free present from Santa.
2:00
Wrotham’s own Hartley Morris Men perform a selection of dances from their Christmas repertoire.
